And I do this for a wise purpose; for thus it whispereth me, according to the workings of the Spirit of the Lord which is in me. And now, I do not know all things; but the Lord knoweth all things which are to come; wherefore, he worketh in me to do according to his will.
Why?
This verse assures me that the Lord knows more than I do, and sometimes I have a hard time accepting that I do not know everything. I have a habit of thinking that I know myself better than anyone and that I know the reasoning behind everything, or if I don't that I should be able to figure out the reasoning behind everything. This verse reminds me that instead of searching out my own answers solely, I need to remember to rely on the Lord and have him work through me, and I need to remember that he knows everything that is to come, so he is the only one who can truly prepare me with all of the essential knowledge that I need. Granted, it obviously takes some effort to learn on my part also haha so I am not going to stop trying or anything.
